Breast reconstruction requires a total muscular tent to cover the implant. The use of the expansion augmentation implant allows resizing of the implant by adding saline to the implant after surgery. The overstretching of the scar and muscle tissue literally "programs" the patient's body to a larger than desired size. stretching the muscle and scar, customizing and engineering the result until the scar tissue becomes soft. Simple implants cannot achieve this result without multiple surgeries.
